Income and employment supports for adults, 18 years and over, with a physical disability or mental condition that is continuous or recurrent and is expected to last one year or more.

 

Housing Stability Fund
Offers financial assistance to low income Londoners to obtain and retain housing and for those at risk of homelessness to remain housed. The HSB offers grants and loan programs to low income Londoners to assist with rental arrears, last month’s rent, and emergency utility assistance.

Criteria:
• Be employed, receiving Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, Canada Pension Plan or other regular sources of income.
• Lived in London for 6 months
• Have not used the HSP in the past 12 months and /or repaid an existing HSB loan
• Attended an assessment appointment
Discretionary Benefits

Special fund to pay for necessary medical goods and related items (e.g., eyeglasses, emergency dental, dentures, prosthetics, funerals). Discretionary Benefits is available to social assistance recipients including Ontario Works clients and Ontario Disability Support Program clients. Discretionary Benefits may also be available to low income applicants, or applicants in receipt of Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security or Guaranteed Annual Income Supplement. In some cases a “financial needs test” will be required to determine eligibility.
